2 Parties in 2 Days ... does that make her older?

We celebrated Gma's 70th birthday two days in a row. Hurricane Irene cancelled the lawn concert at Nissley on Saturday night, so we moved the party to the house. Paula surprised Gma with her absolute favorite ... chocolate cake and peanut butter icing.

On Sunday, the day of the surprise birthday party at the church, Irene killed the power to the church, cancelling service. But we didn't let that deter us, we moved the decorations and the cake from the church to Gma's house and celebrated again!

Surprise Baby Shower

Much to my surprise, my family threw us a surprise baby shower at the Lamp Post on Friday night. What was supposed to be dinner with the two old folks turned into a family celebration. I didn't have a clue ... except that mom's phone rang about 20 times before we got to the restaurant. What a wonderful surprise. Thank you everyone!

Catching Up

Our first morning in town, Gpa had breakfast with his ancient classmates (kidding old man) and the "girls" had a chance to catch up.

Movement Along the Highway

Mom and I took our annual trip to PA to visit the family. Along the road, Mom got to feel her granddaughter move for the first time, hooray! She also made the trek with a tree in her lap, Gma's birthday gift. The trip took more than 12 hours to get there and 10 hours to get back to NC, I felt little discomfort during the journey.

23 Weeks

Our checkup this week confirmed that she is on track with their growth measurements and healthy with a heartbeat at 157-159. To date I've gained 9 pounds and 10 inches in my waist ... or lack there of, should I say!

You Got Mail

A package from Aunt Joy, Uncle Justin and little Thatcher arrived in the mail today! She hasn't even arrived yet and already dressed to the nines, look at this cute stuff! Got her first bikini, hair bows and so much more. Thanks!

22 Weeks

Here we are at 22 weeks and growing. We're heading to Circa 81 for dinner with Creeper and Cheeks .
