Halloween - the scary side

Dave loves his werewolf mask. Mostly I think he loves to scare the dogs with it, and scare he did! When he put it on and went outside to get Sami, that dog put its booty down and hauled ass off the porch ... clearing all six steps in one leap! The rutabaga and I attempted to make the the mask less scary, but I don't think even we were successful :)

32 Weeks ... and growing

This week brought a plethora of doctors ... meet with the anesthesiologist, cardiologist and of course the OB. From the looks and sounds of things, everything with the rutabaga is fine. We'll have a better idea about my heart after my followup appointment.

Fair-ly Fantastic Weekend

We took the little one to the state fair today. Being pregnant in public puts me in mind of buying a new car ... whenever you get a new car, you suddenly notice your new car driving down the road wherever you go. Now that I'm pregnant we notice all the other preggos. The watermelon shaped bellies, boys they say ... the beach balls, girls we hear. You wonder how far along the other women are, if they're having a "feel good" day and of course if they have to pee as bad as you do ... especially in the face of a fair restroom line.

Halloween Happiness

My appointment with the heart doctor left me in a sour mood. To combat my mood I gathered all my "pumpkins" and began decorating for the holiday. I had a little help from the hubby and a Syri.

Beautiful Baby Shower

What a wonderful surprise to come home to ... the company of good friends, delicious food and pile of thoughtful gifts! The combined creativity of Liz and Mom made for an absolutely lovely baby shower. Thank you to everyone for your love, support and generosity.

29 Weeks

At 29 weeks I still feel fantastic! I hope the next 11 (give or take) are just as fabulous. She's kicking and moving ... it's more amazing than I ever thought it could be.

Finished ... at last!

Completed project ... FINALLY finished her dresser! The completion of that project sparked another, washing all the clothes. 11 loads of laundry later and she's got clean clothes ready for the first 12 months. We're dog tired after all that work ... just look at him.
